Chifle cu chimen si cascaval / Caraway and cheese buns

Ingrediente / Ingredients

  • 220 ml. apa calduta / 220 ml warm water
  • 1 ¼ pliculet de drojdie uscata / 1 ¼ sachet dry yeast 
  • 600 gr. faina / 600 gr. flour
  • 2 oua / 2 eggs
  • 1 lingura cu miere / 1 tbsp. honey
  • 35 gr. unt moale / 35 gr. softened butter
  • 1 lingurita sare  / 1 tsp. salt
  • 200 gr. cascaval ras / 200 gr. grated cheese
  • 50 gr. parmesan ras / 50 gr. grated parmesan
  • 1 ½ lingurita seminte de chimen / 1 ½ tsp. caraway seeds
  • seminte de susan / sesame seeds
Preparare / Preparation

1. Se amesteca faina cu drojdia si se lasa 10 minute / Mix flour with the dry yeast and leave it for 10 minutes.

2. Dupa 10 minute se adauga 1 ou, untul, sarea, mierea si se framanta cu cei 220 ml. de apa  pana se obtine un aluat elastic / After 10 minutes add 1 egg, butter, salt, honey and knead with the 220 ml of water till you get an elastic dough

3. Se intinde cu mainile aluatul si se presara cascavalul, parmesanul ras, chimenul si se framanta pana se incorporeaza in aluat /Spread dough by hand and sprinkle the grated cheese, grated parmesan, caraway seeds and knead until is incorporated in the dough

4. Pune coca la crescut, la cald timp de 1 ora pana-si dubleaza volumul /  Put the dough to rise in warm place for about 1 hour until it doubles in size
5. Pe masa infainata se formeaza chifle de marimi mici, mijloci sau mari / On the table dusted with flour, form small, midium or large sized buns
6. Chiflele se lasa inca 30 de minute la crescut in tava / Leave the buns to rise in the tray for another 30 more minutes

7. Dupa 30 de minute se ung usor cu un ou batut peste care se presara seminte de susan si se da la cuptor in jur de 25 de minute la foc mediu / After 30 minutes brush it lightly with a beaten egg, sprinkle some sesame seeds on it and bake around 25 minutes on medium heat

8. Sunt foarte aromate si se servesc proaspete la micul dejun cu unt sau simple/They are very aromatic and can be served for breakfast with butter or simple, as is.
